Hemp has been, and still is, one of the most useful plants known to humanity. The economic and environmental impact of legalization will positively affect our society, beginning with a whole new business sector ripe for investment, research, development, and small American farms. Perhaps more importantly, the cultivation of industrial hemp will make help make American products, industry, and energy greener by several methods including, but not limited to, the refining of hemp biodiesel, greatly reducing or eliminating our reliance on foreign energy; and building with hempcrete, a mixture of hemp and limestone that is not only more cost effective than other materials, but also absorbs CO2. The potential benefits of industrial hemp are vital for the greatness of our nation, we must legalize.
