Hemp is an incredibly useful crop that is being overlooked because of stigma regarding any usage of marajuana. Imported hemp is already in use by industrial companies in the United States, however it is still illegal to grow the crop here. Legalizing the commercial farming of this crop, which can already be found growing wild in the US, could increase the usage of hemp fibers in any number of industries. Hemp is an environmentally friendly crop that can be manufactured into quality products. Hemp contains virtually no THC (the psychoactive chemical in marajuana), and is already commercially grown in Canada an Europe. Please vote to overturn the unnecessary roadblocks in the way of a crop that could greatly benefit our economy and our way of life.
