legalize the growth and use of marijuana and hemp to help our economy grow business and reduce crime.

Legalize both the growth of hemp and marijuana for public use and sale. Hemp can be grown on large scales in order to create jobs and may be used to create things such as paper, textiles, and fuel. Marijuana should be legalized for recreational use and taxed as a controlled substance such as alcohol or tobacco. This will not only increase the money collected by the federal government but would also decrease the amount of drug smuggling and drug related violence especially in areas near the Mexico boarder. It would also decrease the use of more dangerous drugs because there would be no dealers pushing people to buy the addictive and more expensive drugs. The president admitted to smoking Marijuana before so it cant be that bad of a thing.
