Sign to legalize the production of industrial hemp in the United States! Hemp is arguably one of the most sustainable resources that we have. It can be used to make clothes, food, paper products, shelter, medicine, biofuel, and thousands of other products. Hemp is biodegradable and environmentally safe. It can provide all of the world's energy needs, and eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels, deforestation, pollution, acid rain, and the need to recycle. Growing hemp will also save irreplaceable farm land from unnecessary development. What most people don't realize is that hemp is not marijuana. It only contains 0.03% THC; an amount that makes it virtually impossible to get a high from. Excluding hemp from the Controlled Substances Act is a large step towards saving our planet!
