Legalize Hemp and tax it to reduce the deficit.

Hemp is currently illegal thanks to it's agricultural cousin Marijuana. The hemp plant itself cannot be used in any way to manufacture a mood altering drug. Why not legalize it and reap the rewards of taxation, not to mention the almost endless amounts of hemp products that could be made. Our forefathers thought it was good enough to make the declaration of independence out of the stuff.
