Unfortunately, our elected officials) fail to see the long term effects of building a society around a source of energy that is not infinitely abundant (oil, trees), despite the availability of a Hemp, a member of the Cannabis family and the strongest natural fiber on this planet. Hemp grows to maturity in 4 months, 1 acre of hemp is equivalent to 4 acres of trees, herbicides and pesticides unneeded, and can grow in a "wide range of latitudes and altitudes". Health care, body care, building materials, textiles, paper, cars (Henry Ford's first Model T, made of Hemp and when hit with a sledgehammer, it did not dent), fuel, paper, clothes, etc.
Disregarding this is a blatant disservice to We, The People by our Government, failing to do what is best for us.
