Make Ibogaine legal in the U.S.
Ibogaine grows in Central Africa and it is a known cure (84% success rate) for opiate addiction such as Heroin, Oxycontin, Percocet, and opium; yet it is illegal in the USA. We urge congress to legalize it for medicinal purposes.
We are seeking this in effort to end the war on drugs. In 2015 18,893 people died from opiate use. Since 2001 there has been a consistent 5% increase in drug use fatalities each year. The risk factor of treating addiction with this method is minimal compared to the success rate.
