Legalize the importation of Nissan Skylines

I believe the U.S. Government should allow the importation of Nissan Skylines. I am currently deployed to Germany and am interested in purchasing one of these vehicles for use while I'm here, I would also like to import it back to the states once my tour is up. I have found that the price of this vehicles is far more affordable here in Europe and because the Skyline has been around since the 1950's it has had numerous safety tests performed over that time and is legal to drive all across the civilized world except for the United States. I believe it is time to lift this restriction and for the United States to join the rest of the world in adopting ECE regulations.
