We cannot allow capitalism to be 'hacked'. There is no place for price gouging in a free market -- especially when the product is a life-saving drug.
Over the past few years, the price of Daraprim has risen from $1 per tablet to $750 dollars per tablet for no other reason than increasing corporate profits.
In the United Kingdom, Daraprim can be purchased for $0.66 per tablet.
The administration should evaluate all options (including executive order and legislation) for immediately allowing the importation of Daraprim from the United Kingdom or any other reliable source to combat price gouging and to restore Daraprim to its organic price point.
