Incest between consenting adults over the age of 18 should be legalized, if certain restrictions are applied. In today's society, standards for relationships are becoming increasingly diverse. As time passes, we as a society have accepted more and more new lifestyles. I am proposing a new movement- that marriage and relationships between couples who are related be allowed. Incest has been a taboo around the world for ages, and it makes many people uncomfortable. But contrary to what many people assume, a relationship between consenting adults can indeed be healthy. If laws, such as mandatory sterilization procedures, are put into place which prevent genetic diseases from happening due to inbreeding, why should it be illegal for a loving couple to marry simply because of their genes?
