Industrial Hemp is a plant that is not marijuana but one that can be used for thousands of purposes from building materials to textiles. It was traditionally grown in Virginia and the VA legislature has passed a bill allowing hemp to be grown in VA. In order for it to be grown and sold by farmers the bill has to pass in the Senate and House of Congress. Please push your legislator to legalize industrial hemp and no longer classify it as a class 1 schedule 1 drug. Hemp could save the Virginia economy and help the environment as a better and more sustainable option in so many industries. Please legalize industrial hemp to help save our economy.
