Legalize industrial hemp production. This plant, related to marijuana but without the THC, was a valuable agricultural.

Created by G.R. on November 27, 2013

Industrial hemp was once a valuable crop. It does not contain significant levels of THC but the DEA has banned it because it is related to marijuana. This plant produces fiber for rope and twine, biomass for ethanol production and nutritious seeds. If marijuana is planted in a field of hemp, the THC content of the marijuana is reduced making it less desirable. Hemp will provide an additional option for farm diversification and income.
