Legalize The Industrial, Medicinal, and Recreational Use of Cannabis at the Federal Level

We the people of the United States declare that cannabis prohibition is now and has been unconstitutional and detrimental to the social and economic structure of our nation. Furthermore it has fueled organized crime and artificially exacerbated our nation's prison population with otherwise non-violent citizens. So much time, money, energy, and lives have been lost in vain, and we cannot continue down this path any longer. The industrial applications of hemp helped build the American economy and have the potential to do so again, at a time when we desperately need economic solutions. State laws governing legalization have been met with conflict at the federal level, which is why we need a nation-wide Declaration of Legalization of Cannabis for all purposes as the right of all people.
