What it's about: Allow the import/wholesale of Kinder Surprise Eggs in the United States
The FDA put a ban on the import and sales of Kinder Surprise back in 1938 all because its labeled as a "confectionery product with a non-nutritive object, partially or totally embedded within it." Wait so this candy was banned like cocaine because it has a toy inside of the shell? That makes no sense because doesn't Cracker Jack do the exact same thing, and yet that is legal? The FDA is pulling a double standard here by banning the Kinder Eggs. Not to mention Cereal companies used to and still do include "toys" in some specially labelled boxes. The ban in 1938 may have been caused due to rising tensions from Europe not the Surprise inside. It's time to end the ban and allow these Eggs in America.
