The constitution states that all Americans are entitled to “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” And we are supposed to have separation of church and state. Which means everyone has rights; we don’t have to follow what the Bible says, because the Bible is NOT the law.
Yet, we still treat the Bible as if it is such. The Bible is for religious practices and religion is free to anybody it is not supposed to be forced upon people, yet it is.
Yes I am addressing the very touchy subject of gay marriage.
The Government has the responsibility to protect the people, and according to the constitution homosexuals should have the right to marry equally as heterosexuals, but they don’t because of a book. Not because of the constitution, but because of a book that is not even considered law.
