We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Legalize Marijuana

Created by W.H. on August 11, 2016

In the year 1920, The United States of America made a constitutional ban on Alcohol. It lasted for thirteen years, allowed the business of organized crime to grow greatly, led to widespread corruption of public officials, and created dangerous situations for citizens who wanted to fight back about their right being taken away. That prohibition ended after thirteen years. Marijuana has been banned since 1937 due to the "Marijuana Tax Act". Since we have discovered many uses for the hemp plant, and have seen that not only is it not harmful but that it can be beneficial. It is a harmless yet helpful plant being unjustly taken away from Americans. We wish to end this prohibition.
