Marijuana is less toxic than alcohol. Yet alcohol is completely legal. There are many positive effects are marijuana that are scientifically proven. The case for keeping it illegal is too weak. Washington and Colorado made a step in the right direction by legalizing marijuana. Enforcing drug laws is far too expensive and doesn't deal with the underlying problem. The Netherlands benefited from legalizing drugs. America can too.
