The legalization of marijuana and other non-addictive, non-lethal psychotropic substances, such as psilocybin mushrooms or peyote, for recreational use is long overdue. The potential tax revenue generated is justification enough alone, but when compared to the health drawbacks of legal substances like alcohol, the justifications for their illegality have no merit.
