If Marijuana was legalized and taxed it would create jobs and a new revenue stream for the country. This old and unjust prohibition of a plant has long needed to be over turned. The Marijuana plant also has several other uses and could become a cash crop overnight. The savings this country would see in tax dollars spent in enforcing this law and jailing our citizens would also add to decreasing the federal deficit. Our law enforcement could also be better used to stop violent crimes and other offences instead of fighting a war or a plant.
