Legalize marijuana beyond the extent of its medical use.

Marijuana is a naturally growing plant that can offer many benefits beyond just the medical ones. It is seen as a harsh drug by many, including the government. If you do research on some scholarly sites, there have been many studies that disprove some of government's biggest arguments against it. For one, it is said that the whole 'gateway drug' theory starts with nicotine, and not marijuana. The drug in todays time is said to be more potent than it was in the 60's or 70's, but if legalized that can be controlled by the government, creating more jobs. Also, there have been no recorded deaths due to its overdose. It is safer than alcohol and cigarettes as well! I strongly recommend everyone who wants to sign this petition to do some research on their own before making a final decision.
