It is time we stop the continued criminalization of marijuana.
The facts are clear. It has medical benefits. It is a safe substance to use for recreational relaxation. (Far safer than alcohol, I may add.)
The response given to the first request wasn't a conversation spark. It was a request from the American Public. The request was brushed off and ignored.
Marijuana legalization is inevitable and your administration knows it, Mr. President. We are not asking for a scripted excuse for why we should continue this unjust war on a harmless plant. We the people are demanding you do what is in the public's interest.
