The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world. The reason being is because of harsh-lengthy prison and jail time. Nearly 50% of all the people in prison or jail are sentenced because of drug-related charges. Let real criminals be locked up.
The United States should legalize marijuana for both medical and recreational use, like several other states in the United States already has. The government can impose a tax and collect a certain percentage on marijuana sales, just like tobacco or alcohol. The state, businesses, and people benefit from it.
It's time to end the prohibition of marijuana because this is the United States of America, where freedom and opportunity is guaranteed.
