Cannabis is not a negative item. It is not a drug but rather a plant, a plant that could only have positive effects on our country. Hemp comes from cannabis and is used in many products. If hemp were used in all plastics and other cheap materials they would be non-toxic, as well as biodegradable. The plant is a weed and grows rapidly with high defenses against pests causing it to be a very cheap resource to make these products. As far as recreational use, cannabis has little to no influence over a ones judgement and in no way harms their health. Alcohol and cigarettes harm a person much more but it is THEIR CHOICE as to what they put in their body. Even if cannabis was harmful it would still be the citizens choice. It has proven to kill cancer cells and strengthen lung capacity as well.
