In the response to the following you state that 'marijuana use is associated with addiction, respiratory disease, and cognitive impairment.' as a reason for it to remain illegal. But tobacco is a drug known (not associated with) to cause respiratory disease, addiction, and cancer, yet is still held as a legal substance. Alcohol is a drug known to impair cognitive abilities and can lead to dependence. So because they both only meet to of the three they can be legal? The use of these drugs are considered to be personal choice that is well taxed by the government. Why not make it legal for people to smoke marijuana in their own home? Pick a side, it can't be both ways. Either all of it's legal.. or it's not.
