1. this would stop the dangerous way most of us have to purchase marijuana from thugs who try to pass other drugs onto us therefore no longer making it a "gateway drug"
2. it was easier for me to get marijuana as a child than to get cigarettes or alcohol therefore this would reduce use by minors
3. since no actual studies have been done i have to use googled info but supposedly 1.4 million americans smoke daily and about 60% of americans use it occasionally which means much like the 20's and 30's prohibition isn't working
4. criminalizing marijuana makes a class of second class citizens who have trouble finding work, some are no longer allowed to vote depending on the severity of the offense, its not that we don't want to participate in our government or society but we simply arent allowed
