Due to the fact marijuana is the most used "illegal substance" in the United States, I believe it would benefit the economy to decriminalize marijuana and tax it instead. This would increase alot of revenue for the state that could be used to protect our schools. This would lower court and jail costs as well as put many "drug dealers" out of business. It would also keep teenagers away from the "drug dealers" who could persuade them to experiment with harder drugs such as cocaine or methanphetamine.
