Several patents have been issued to the federal government regarding the medical benefits of marijuana. Cannabidiol (CBD) has been called a miracle drug, with potential to cure cancer. Even the state of Israel has recognized the benefits of the drug and is openly cultivating it.
Why not legalize it's cultivation for personal use, regulate its quality and potency (both THC and CBD content) for commercial sales and tax those sales? The alternative is more Billions wasted on a failed "drug war" with NO success in sight primarily because anyone who has smoked POT knows it is relatively harmless. The "Marijuana Madness" talking point is a fraud and everyone knows it.
