Legalize Marijuana In the State of Georgia

Created by H.K. on November 15, 2012

For many Georgia residents conscious of the current marijuana laws know that they are among the steepest in the country. Cannabis annually takes zero lives, yet it imprisons a person every 42 seconds. It's just senseless to put harmless people behind bars for something less harmful than acohol or tabacco. Amendment 64 needs to be brought to Georgia, and soon. Legalize it, and tax it!
By taxing the use of marijuana all the tax money could be used for something better! Education, and maybe paying the military BETTER! Or even helping veterans that defended this country there is endless possibilities!!!
Legalization of marijuana would simply eliminate the need for dealers and put a stop to all this. Legalization would cut down on corruption in the law enforcement.
