Many people (especially minorities) have been placed in prison. They are serving time in jail for smoking a joint. Even though cigarettes are proved to be more dangerous. American is #1in prison population, this fact does not make me proud to be an American. By legalizing Marijuana, police will target minorities less, and those incarcerated for only smoking marijuana can be released.
Colorado, where marijuana is legal, business is booming and other businesses related to marijuana are springing up.This can fix the economy and by taxing it the money can help build schools, highways, and bullet trains. And people won't go to jail for smoking a joint.
