Legalize marijuana for US citizens over 21 years of age with the same restrictions as alcohol use. Monitored by the ATF.

We the free people of this great nation find the regulation on marijuana to be extreme and an infrigement on the rights of those of us living in all states. I want to petition the gov't to stand up and create a new branch of the ATF (creating jobs) for the control and distribution of marijuana which, in turn, could lead to less crime on the border of Mexico bringing up the mortality rate for our soldiers at the border, and leaving the cartels with only one option: to go legal. This would also benefit the agricultural community in most of the midwest where people are finding it so hard to find honest work. For example, when prohibition ended; crime decreased. Bootleggers were no longer the norm and judging from the past this could bring down the crime rates in many places and boost tourism
