legalize marijuana use for debilitating disease nationally requiring a doctor visit and card, increasing revenue.

Created by L.B. on November 08, 2011

Why not help alliviate the economic stress by taking what California and Colorado have done to a national level. In a recent response to the legalization of marijuana justifying it's bannishment by claiming "marijuana use is associated with addition, respitory disease and cognitive impairment." One could say the same things about alcohol use- addiction, organ impairment and cognitive impairment. Yet it is still legal for persons of age to consume alcohol. Marijuana is classified in the US as a Schedule I controlled substance- along with HEROIN, PCP, andLSD (a little extreme!). Schedule II- cocaine, morphine and methamphetamine. Marijuana MORE DANGEROUS than cocaine and meth? Leading research claims otherwise. Let's lower the schedule, meanwhile creating jobs and increasing revenue!
