Prohibition of alcohol happened because of an uprising of women who were sick of being beaten and abused and losing their money to their men in bars, it was about a government of by & for the people...prohibition of cannabis was (everytime, history) a strategy Presidents created to suppress certain groups of people, (except for Reagan he did it for politicks,) a good deal of the police state in the US and the world would be unnecessary if they legalized the healing herb. In California, after 15 yrs of legal medical marjuana has noted a substantial decrease of cannabis use in schools. Prohibition did just what they intended it to do, it created 100 mil 2nd class citizens, a black market, and the more force to enforce it the more underground it goes, the market & violence increase.
