Legalize marijuanna for all purposes to have one set law nationwide.

Marijuana should be legalized for all purposes for various reasons. It can potentially relieve pain, control nausea, and stimulate appetite. You can't overdose nor has there been any deaths by it. So, alcohol is worse. In 2009, there were a total of 858,408 marijuana arrests and 758,593 of those arrests were for possession only. Also, 60,000 people were sent to prison. In addition, it had cost $23,876 to imprison someone a year. Therefore, we shouldn't waste our money and our jails shouldn't be filled up for minor marijuana crimes. We should be worried about locking real criminal ups. It would also make sense economically and benefit our government. California made $14 billion a year in sales in 2009 and $1.3 billion state tax revenue. Decriminalizing and medical use is not good enough!
