My name is Faith, I am a41yr old mom of 2 boys, 9 and 11, married for over 15 years and I have Epilepsy. For many years this has been a disease that has been put to the wayside, people are unaware and little information is out there. I got sick a few years ago and my world turned upside down, I was in ICU for a month with uncontrollable seizures, was put in a coma, and lost years of memory. Where I am today is a miracle. I was diagnosed with “Epilepsy” I lost YEARS of memory that will never return. I pray for new procedures to find a cure, and hopefully it will be in my lifetime. I put my son to bed several months ago and he said, Mommy; I have a word to describe you, “RESILIENT” because you got sick and you got back up. Epilepsy needs a CURE! I need to see my boys grow up and live life!
