As far as medical purposes: Marijuana has been proven to be less harmful and less side effects of cigerettes, alcohol, perscription and over the counter drugs.
As far as recreational use: most Americans are going to obtain and smoke marijuana regardless if it is legal or illigal. It is time to start making taxes off of it to boost economy. Most Americans would rather trust a clean marijuana purchased in a store verses off the streets laced with anything. Laws must be placed similar to alcohol such as driving and working while impaired, and age restrictions. I do agree that marijuana should be kept away from children, so parents who openly smoke around children should be penalized as we'll.
