There are many of us who suffer from chronic pain with no cure. Decriminalizing marijuana will provide an alternative pain medication doctors can prescribe for chronic pain patients. The drug companies create synthetic drugs which have proven to be dangerous to our health, while insurance companies dictate the prices AND choose whether to cover them at all. Most of which we cannot afford. Not only is the decriminalization of marijuana "medically necessary" and a more affordable and safer option to help manage pain ... it will also reduce illegal drug trafficking, generate billions of dollars in revenue for the US government, and save MANY US farms. How much longer can the US afford to remain stagnant - we must cut our own bonds, step out of the dark and move forwards, not backwards - NOW!
