Legalize New York State Marijuana, to reduce petty crime and increase the tradition of medical uses.

The people of New York State who are medically ill need the ability to numb that pain. Not just in critically disabled people, but marijuana should be legally prescribed to anyone that has been hospitalized or placed under illness and has given consent to that prescription. On the streets of New York City you'll find that marijuana is one of the biggest issues, often in petty amounts such as a gram or anywhere under 1 ounce.
Even in these petty amounts citizens are being brought to bookings or given outrageous fines such as $100 to $200! people should be allowed to choose what they want to smoke, how much of it, and take responsibility for their own health. This is miniscule intoxication and shouldn't be thought of as a menace. Lifting limits on Marijuana will also help War On Drugs cost.
