In 2006, President George W. Bush signed into law the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, which was a Title VIII amendment to the SAFE Port Act of 2006. Not only was it a non-germane amendment to a necessary bill, but it also makes millions of Americans criminals for wanting to play poker in the comfort of their own homes.
We are petitioning the Obama administration to repeal the Title VIII Amendment to the SAFE Port Act of 2006, and legalize online gambling for all Americans.
If taxed properly, this could bring in billions of dollars to the Government, and help fix the deficit, and Social Security. It also would stimulate the economy, as people be able to easily withdraw their funds from gambling websites.
We urge to Obama Administration to legalize online gambling.
