For too long have internet pirates been the victims of a massive slander campaign from corporations. In the olden days piracy was called "borrowing" or "loaning" an album, CD, or cassette. Piracy is not theft and does not hurt sales. Piracy is does not cause anyone to lose money, in fact statistics show pirates buy more music than non-pirates. Piracy does not hurt sales. Take for example the death metal band Dethklok, every single album they have released has leaked and been online before the realize date yet their albums have continued to increase in sales and each one sets a record for the highest charting death metal album on Billboard. Their success is helped by piracy, not hindered by it. We need to stop the persecution of those exercising their freedoms.
