Legalize Online Poker

Created by A.S. on May 30, 2013

The position of the Obama Administration with respect to online poker is nonsensical and fiscally backwards. The legalization of online poker, a game of skill, would result in billions of dollars in tax revenues for both Federal and State Governments while allowing millions of Americans to enjoy the game they love with the security that comes with government oversight and regulation. Beyond these benefits, it is estimated that the legalization of online poker will create 10,000 jobs, providing a boost to our stagnant economy. Legalizing online poker is the right thing to do from a civil liberties perspective, a fiscal perspective, and a long-term employment perspective. We urge President Obama, a fellow poker player, to reverse his stance on this issue and support legal online poker.
