This petition is to initiate the legalization of carrying swords. Similar to the open carry of firearms, the wearer is required to keep their weapon sheathed at all times when not in use. The wearer may only unsheath their sword when in the presence of life-threatening situations are made evident by judgement that is beyond a reasonable doubt. The sword may be carried in all places public and private except for schools and government buildings.
The purpose of this petition is to take a step in the direction of personal responsibility. Our lives must be protected by our own conscious effort first, and law enforcement second.
