Legalize Personal Downloading with Right-holder Compensation through a Private Copying Levy.

Every Day People in the united states are sued outrageous Sums by right-holders for sharing a few tracks of music. The fines for sharing these tracks of music can run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars for music that would originally cost just a dollar or two to purchase. This is why we petition the Obama administration to declare personal downloading legal and compensate right-holders through a private copying levy. Using a system similar to the Dutch Private Copying Levy we can charge levy's on things such as Recordable DVD, Removable Hard Drives, MP3 players, and computers. The rates can be found below
