Adults should be allowed to marry more than one person. This is because the Morrill Anti-Bigamy Act of 1862 was enacted with the implicit goal of persecuting the followers of Mormonism and the Church of Latter Day Saints by prohibiting their practice of taking multiple spouses. Such anti-minority legislation today would be considered immoral and shocking by the American people.
