We, the people, request that the government of the United States of America legalize the practice of certified Midwives.
By legalizing the practice of all certified midwives, we are:
Allowing women with low risk births to birth in a safe environment of their choice
Minimizing unnecessary medical interventions
Lower maternity care costs
Reduce mortality and morbidity related to cesarean and other interventions
