Simply put, hemp, a product deriving from the male cannabis plant, is a more environmentally friendly, longer lasting, more economic product than cotton and polyester. If we were to make more clothing, paper bags, corrugated boxes, and computer paper out of hemp instead of other less effective material, we could literally reverse the greenhouse effect. Also, using hemp paper instead of tree paper would have a huge impact on the tragic deforestation occurring across the earth, something responsible for the death of millions of animals and further damaging this already resource-depleted earth. Growing hemp is a much simpler and more natural process than other materials, and the plant strengthens the surrounding soil, making it a great additional crop for farmers of other plants to add.
