legalize prostitution at a national level, for the purpose of taxing and regulating the industry.

Created by Q.H. on December 04, 2012

Currently, Prostitution is estimated to be a $14 billion industry. If the United States were to legalize it, Prostitution could be taxed and thus become a national source of revenue. The taxes from Prostitution could be split between the state government and the national government. The money going to the national government would have to be spent strictly on repaying the debt and education. Money sent to the state would have to be used for education solely. By legalizing it, you could also control it so that prostitutes would have to be checked for STIs on a regular basis, as would their clients. To ensure this, you could have a sticker on your identification from stating whether you have STI's or not.
