Legalize Psilocybin, Mescaline, and DMT

The use of mushrooms containing psilocybin, as well as plants containing mescaline or DMT (dimethyltryptamine), is currently sanctioned for a small number of religious groups. This privilege should be extended to all, regardless of religion. The current policy gives preference to a few chosen religions, and is antithetical to the American ideals of freedom of religion and the separation of church and state. Preferential treatment based on religion is not an acceptable stance in a modern society, and represents a clear affront to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;..."
