In November of 2014 a 90-year old U.S. war veteran who resides in Fort Lauderdale, was arrested twice in one week for an act that most would consider an act of humanity. He was detained for feeding the homeless in a public park. Apparently, not only is it illegal to feed the homeless in public in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but the public food ban has been tried or enforced in more than 71 cities across the nation. This public food ban is an inappropriate injustice against the people who are trying to help and the ones they are trying to help.
