"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
The purpose of this amendment was written for the defense of the people against corrupt government. The People should have access to the same small arms weapons that the military and police have access to. Let "We the People" be armed to the same extent as the military.
