It is my opinion that the prohibiton of marijuana in the US, has not only caused detriment to, but actually inhibits the progress of our local communities and society as a whole.
History has shown that prohibition does not work, especially when the propaganda spread about it's dangers are widely known to be completely false and sometimes laughable.
If this country has an addiction problem(which it does) we need to face the problem as rationally as possible.Truth in the education about all drugs.
The possibilities of gained revenue from taxation and retail regulation alone equate to multi-millions of dollars per year, per state.Those funds could be put into our dying educational system, community programs, training and funding of local police forces. And that's just at the state level.
